If in trouble, improvise ...

I decided after 3 "flowers" that there was a high probability that the plaid leaves were not going to meet at their tips.  What to do?  Unpick the blighters?

Given Kim has gone off piste with every one of her blocks I felt entitled, empowered and emboldened to do the same.  And, as a bonus, my solution halved the amount of hand appliqué I had to do.

I like it, and feels that it marries the circle and square themes in the other blocks well.  Ciao S x

    Beautiful improvisation! My leaf tips aren't going to meet either, but I'm just living with it....very jealous of your alternative solution, way too much hand applique to still go around here!

    I don't think it would have mattered if they didn't meet anyway (this occurred to me after I'd done it, though). It looks great, and good to be different. E
