Drunkard's mothers day....

I managed some sewing (and photos for Marg!) today. Sorry I don't have any from the class, my phone camera is permanently foggy and not worth using these days....

Sue had us working on Drunkard's path blocks. I've chosen the Tumbleweed layout, happy so far but not sure I'll make the 16 I had planned at first (or 192 individual blocks...), 4 is looking like a more realistic option!
However while I was happily cutting up fabric last night I discovered this doozey from some DS fabric I bought at Spotlight the other day. So not cool to discover the 50cm piece I had purchased was actually sewn up the middle like this! Wouldn't mind if that was how it had been labelled, but this was off the bolt!

And finally, all the sewing brought on the munchies. This brownie is my Mother's Day present to myself, it was deliciously fudgy while still warm and perfect with my afternoon cup of tea!

Wishing you all a happy Mother's day, whether your children are of the fur, niece/nephew, or son/ daughter variety! C

    1. Not another quilt, drunkard path blocks meant to be working in with our fussy cut centre (on an improv background....!)
